tribute to my mom

Madelyn Fitzpatrick Runyan
September 6, 1937 - December 20, 2009
. . . when a loved one nears the end of life, and life is measured in minutes and moments . . . at that time, 50 years of cherished memories comprising millions of sweet remembrances, somehow fill the same brief slice of time.
i will never be the same.
Our world has been created as an environment of purposed artistry from which all human art forms are derived. Nature is the "a priori", the foundation of creativity and art.
My images consist of the beings, objects and vistas found in nature; presented as they exist in the wilds, and without camera or software techniques to enhance or falsify their raw appeal.
My hope is that visitors to this online gallery will be encouraged to explore the wonders of nature, which often reside only a few yards away from our televisions, computers, cell phones and cars.
